There are 3 distinct philosophies of kindergarten:-
a)Ample opportunities to choose interesting sequential learning opportunities. b)Stimulating experiences which develop intrinsic motivation for learning. c)Opportunities to learn, to read and to write where readiness is in evidence.
FREIDRICH WILHEML AUGUST FROBEL or FROBEL (1782 – 1852) was a German pedagogue a student of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi who laid the foundation for modern education based on the recognition that children have unique needs and capabilities.
He believed that “play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free expression of what is in the child’s soul.” According to Froebel, in play children construct their understanding of the world through direct experience with it.
Froebel’s philosophy of education consists of following components:-
a) free self –activity
b) creativity
c) Social participation
d) Motor expression
